I'm just playing around as well as a hobbyist, so it's not like my job depends on it. I almost feel at a disadvantage knowing what I do outside of that flow as I'm always looking for the shortcuts to do something that I thought was simple (in C4d). Going to the node driven workflow of DOP, POP, VOP, CHOP and SHOPs has got my head spinning a bit. I just started messing around with Houdini lately, and holy Crap! I haven't felt like I knew nothing about 3D in a long time, and this made me feel like I'm starting over from day one. I know this is a c4d thread but there are probably a few more sympathetic ears here. If you have feedback on the subreddit theme, feel free to send /u/Cryptonaut a message.
